New Sigur Rós album, Valtari, out May 28th.
Q Magazine published an article revealing the details of Sigur Rós’ 6th studio album, Valtari. The album is due out May 28th.
Tracklisting:
Ég Anda (“I Breathe”)
Ekki Múkk (“Not a Peep”)
Varúð (“Caution”)
Rembihnútur (“Double Knot”)
Dauðalogn (“Dead Calm”)
Varðeldur (“Campfire”)
Valtari (“Roller”)
The translations are likely be a little off, but still provide some light into the content of the new record. In a previous interview, the band called it “floaty and minimal”, “ambient”, and “introverted”. An album titled “steamroller” seems to contradict those descriptions a bit, but who knows what tricks the band will pull this time around. Oh, and for you Jónsi & Alex/Parachutes fans, the record is apparently being produced by Alex Somers.
